Nanobiosystems for Diagnosis and Treatment

Welcome to the Nanobiosystems for Diagnosis and Treatment (NANOBIODIT) group, coordinated by Dr. Milagros Castellanos. In our group, we apply a multidisciplinary approach to combine molecular tools, nanotechnology and spectroscopy.  This combination allow us to advance both the improvement of more precise gene therapy and the rapid and minimally invasive detection of diseases such as cancer or viral infections. Our projects have a dual purpose, both basic and translational, for which we collaborate with researchers from various disciplines as well as hospitals and clinical settings. By bringing together different fields of expertise, our group is able to take a holistic approach to complex biomedical challenges. This integrative perspective allow us to offer a more comprehensive and effective solutions for patients, developing innovative strategies for diagnosis and treatment that would not be possible otherwise.
