Dr. Miguel Ángel Valbuena Martínez

Miguel Angel Valbuena is a researcher in Condensed Matter Physics, specialized in the study of the electronic structure and magnetic properties of low dimensional systems by means of Synchrotron radiation-based techniques, as Angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) or X-ray Magnetic Circular Dichroism (XMCD). After his ph. D stage at LURE (Orsay, France) and ICMM-CSIC (Madrid) (ph. D diploma at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, UAM, 2006) and his post-doctoral trainings at UAM, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), and Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), he became research staff at IMDEA Nanociencia (2018-) as responsible of the new Spin-ARPES laboratory.
