Dr. Dooshaye Moonshiram

enrique canovas

Dooshaye Moonshiram received her Ph.D from Purdue University, U.S.A in Physical Chemistry and spectroscopy. After her thesis, she did a postdoctoral fellowship at Argonne National Laboratory, U.S.A, Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia, Spain, and was previously a Alexander Von Humboldt fellow at Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion. During her professional career, Dooshaye worked in a wide range of research areas in the development and application of synchrotron-based X-ray spectroscopies as probes of electronic and geometric structure in chemical catalysis for energy applications. She has particularly been interested in novel spectroscopic methods enabling the characterization of catalytic intermediates in solar fuel catalysts, and providing critical insights into metal oxidation states, spin states, local coordination environments and structural configurations.
