Madrid, May 27th, 2024. IMDEA Nanociencia opens the second call for the IDEAL PhD Doctoral Fellowship Programme (IMDEA Nanociencia PhD Training Programme in Nanoscience), which will attract 6 exceptional candidates to carry out their PhD in any of the research areas carried out at the Institute:
P1 Nanotechnology for energy harvesting
P2 Quantum materials at the nanoscale
P3 Nanotechnology for health
P4 Nanomagnetism in Information and Communication Technologies
P5 Ultrafast phenomena at the nanoscale
P6 Sustainable nanotechnology and critical raw materials
The main objective of IDEAL PhD is to offer first stage researchers an interdisciplinary doctoral project in nanotechnology and nanoscience, supervised by recognized researchers and with access to excellent infrastructure of the highest level. IMDEA Nanociencia will also offer a complete training programme in research and transversal skills, with activities and professional development opportunities. This call for applications closes on 23rd August 2024.
The IDEAL PhD programme aims to provide fellows with a dynamic research community and an international environment focused on interdisciplinary research. The beneficiaries will carry out a 3.5-year (42-month) doctoral project during which they will be able to carry out a research stay (between 3 and 6 months) in a partner organisation. Partner organisations will offer fellows the opportunity to enrich their curriculum, gaining international and non-academic experience if they choose.
