Patricia Jiménez Hernández
Patricia Jiménez obtained her degree in Chemistry (2023) and her Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry (2024) from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In addition to this Master’s degree, she especialized in molecular and materials chemistry. She did her end-of-degree and her end-of-master’s degree projects in synthesis of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOF) for toxic molecules detection under supervision of Dr. Jose Sánchez Costa, gaining experience in the field of complexes synthesis and usual characterization techniques. Subsequently, she completed an internship at Advanced Porous Materials Unit (AMPU) at IMDEA Energía under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Hassanein, where she developed Ionic conductive materials: Fuel cells and electrolyzers by synthesizing MOFs with enhamced stability and high proton conductivity. Currently, she is doing her PhD on luminescence MOFs to develop sensors for atmospheric pollutants, completing her work done during her end-of-degree and end-of-master’s degree projects.
