Prof. Fernando Martín García

Fernando Martín is graduated in Chemistry (1984) and Physics (1986) by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and got his PhD degree in 1986 at the same university. He completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Bordeaux I, the Université de Paris VI and the University of Chicago.

Currently, he is Full Professor in Physical Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and researcher affiliated to IMDEA Nanociencia.

He has published more than 430 articles in international journals. In 2000, he was awarded the National Research Prize Rey Juan Carlos I, in 2010, the prize of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry in Chemical Physics, in 2011, the Advanced Grant from the European Research Council XCHEM (https://www.xchem.uam.es/xchem/). In 2017, he was awarded with the King Jaime I prize in Fundamental Research.
