8th edition of the Early Stage Researchers Workshop on Nanoscience

IMDEA Nanoscience closes the eighth edition of the Early Stage Researchers Workshop in Nanoscience with two prizes.

The prizes have been awarded to Fernando Jiménez and Julia Villalva (IMDEA Nanociencia) for the best oral communications, and to María Salvador Fernández (Universidad de Oviedo) and Leyre de Juan (IMDEA Nanociencia) for the best poster. The prizes, sponsored on this occasion by Nanoscale Horizons, have been given at the end of the Workshop, which this year celebrates its eighth edition.

This year 2018, the participation has been massive: full capacity with more than 80 attendees and the participation of young researchers from institutions from all the national territory, such as the Biofisika Institute of CSIC / UPV, the University of Granada or the University of Oviedo. The Early Stage Researchers Workshop is an initiative of IMDEA Nanociencia that began in 2010 with the purpose of bringing together early carreer scientists from different disciplines to present their research work in the field of Nanoscience to the public for the first time. Currently, the workshop is organized by and for young researchers, and the objective is to encourage participation in the dissemination of science, create academic links and strengthen collaborations among future research pledges.
