nanoscience and nanotechnology: small is different

The H2020 funded European Green Deal Call aims to transform the EU into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy where there are no net emissions of greenhouse gases in 2050 and where economic growth is decoupled from resource use.

The projects funded under this call are expected to deliver results with tangible benefits in ten areas. Eight thematic areas will reflect the key work streams of the European Green Deal:

1. Increasing Climate Ambition: Cross sectoral challenges

2. Clean, affordable and secure energy
3. Industry for a clean and circular economy
4. Energy and resource efficient buildings
5. Sustainable and smart mobility
6. Farm to Fork
7. Biodiversity and ecosystem services
8. Zero-pollution, toxic free environment
Additionally, two horizontal areas will offer a long-term perspective in aiming to achieve the transformations set out in the European Green Deal, building knowledge systems and infrastructures.
9. Strengthening our knowledge in support of the European Green Deal
10. Empowering citizens for the transition towards a climate neutral, sustainable Europe
